You must pass the National Certification Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)® -Acupuncture with Point Location Examination
-Foundations of Oriental Medicine Examination
-Biomedicine Examination
These systems of exams include demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities in acupuncture theory, diagnosis and treatment technique, point location technique as well as safety protocols to include referrals, ethics, and practice management. For more information on the exams, click here…
Licensed Application
Apply to be licensed in the state of Nebraska. The initial fee is $300. Renewal fess are $120 every 2 years.
Along with the completed application, you will need to provide documentation of:
-completed coursework of an approved clean-needle technique course
-completed acupuncture curriculum at an approved school
-passing score on the National Certification Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®)
-Acupuncture with Point Location Examination
-Foundations of Oriental Medicine Examination
-Biomedicine Examination
Other requirements include being of good moral character and at least 19 years of age
